UDD accepted into the IBM Global Entrepreneur Program
To begin 2013 we’re excited to have been accepted into the IBM Global Entrepreneur Program. Through the program, UDD will now have access to a global network of smart, diverse, and progressive entrepreneurs tackling problems and creating new platforms and applications. There is nothing like having a new band of cohorts. It also means we have enhanced our tool kit with access to IBM software products. With our newly expanded arsenal we will continue to tinker, tailor, solider and spy our way through research, projects and initiatives. We expect plenty of trail and error, and firmly realize without experimentation there is no real innovation – problems beware!
We are excited to be among a new global group of entrepreneurs from diverse sectors as a IBM Global Entrepreneur. A highlight that I am personally excited about is the IBM Smart Camp. SmartCamp is an exclusive global program bringing together entrepreneurs, investors and experienced mentors who want to build a Smarter Planet. The program offers exclusive events aimed at identifying early stage entrepreneurs who are developing business ventures that align with our IBM Smarter Planet vision. Selected companies have an opportunity to work with IBM’s global mentor network consisting of world-class entrepreneurs, investors and industry experts. SmartCamp also provides access to world-class advisors plus a direct route to seed and venture capital.
Another highlight are the KickStarts events. KickStarts are one or two day events with a focus on a range of specific topics, such as healthcare and IBM Smarter Cities. This is right up UDD’s alley, where the user, engagement and the system are king. We’ ve already planned our friends and collaborators ideation / pitch meetup. We look forward to reporting more, stay tuned.
